This altar cloth is designed to honor Demeter, the Goddess of Grain and the Harvest. She and her daughter Persephone were at the center of the Eleusinian Mysteries. She was also called Cybele and Ceres. She provides the food for the peoples of the world and her name may mean Mother Grain or Mother Earth.
This is a beautiful altar or cloth, about 18 inches or 45cm square. My cotton altar cloths are 2-ply, a high-quality cotton backed by a layer of high-quality cotton. My satin and silk altar cloths are single ply with a narrow hem.
All altar cloths are available, as a special order, in any size up to about 34″ square and in a wide selection of fabric. The printing and sewing will take about 10-14 days. Just contact me with which design you want and what size. Prices scale with size. Any candles, incense burners or other ritual tools are not included. All I am selling is the altar cloth.
