This altar cloth is designed to honor Ishtar, the main deity of Babylon. She was called Inanna in Sumer. Her cult lasted into Roman times. Ishtar is also called Inanna and she is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess of love, war, and fertility. She is also associated with beauty, sex, divine law, and political power. My design shows the ancient Gate of Ishtar with her power represented by lions. I have added a tunnel to represent the story of her descent into the underworld. This is the fourth in the Goddess series – the first was the Hecate introduced earlier.
This is a beautiful altar or cloth, about 18 inches or 45cm square. My cotton altar cloths are 2-ply, a high-quality cotton backed by a layer of high-quality cotton. These are high-quality textiles professionally printed from my design.
This all-natural cotton altar cloth measures approximately 18″x18″ and is 2-ply for a nice weight on the altar. All altar cloths are available, as a special order, in any size up to about 34″ square and a wide selection of fabrics. The printing and sewing will take about 10-14 days. Just contact me with which design you want and what size. Prices scale with size.
It is appropriate for readings or a spell working, but would also be beautiful on a personal altar. And of course, it would make a wonderful addition to any ritual.
Any candles, incense burners or other ritual tools are not included. All I am selling is the altar cloth.
